The Past in Us

“I can see your point of view. Days in the past should stay in the past. Wondering and hoping of what might have been is a waste of time unless you are prepared to do things to make it happen in the future. But it is still in the past.”
Willow’s Corner

The above comment was made based on the prompt “One More Time” where we were asked to think about a day within the last 12 months and wonder what you would do differently.

Willow’s Corner said it perfectly in her post when she declared that there was no one day in the past that she would do over because it already is in the past and should stay there.  Memories, emotions and thoughts of things past are nice to reminisce about.  They offer up reasons of why we are the way we are.  The past has built our character, our soul.  Changing it would change us.  Let’s keep us the way we are.

  1. I skipped that prompt for the same reason! I mean, lots of time we do wish we’d done things differently, but realistically, we can’t. So why dwell? Thanks for sharing 🙂
